My son does not like to sit still for long, getting him to do school work sometimes is hard. What four year old loves to sit still!
We recently did "Five Green and Speckled Frogs", "The Muffin Man", and "Who Took the Cookies from the Cookie Jar". Bellow you find some fun activities to do with your preschooler(s).

Five Green and Speckled Frog:
Read this book to your child, see if your child can pick out the rhyming words like pool and cool. After you read the book give your child a music instrument and let him or she play the song five green and Speckled frogs. Sing along with your child. Have fun!
Green and Speckled frog log craft:
materials needed
paper towel roll
popsicle sticks
Frog print out
Glue
Crayons

The Muffin man:
Let your child listen to the muffin man song as your child makes muffins. My son loved this activity. I let him mix everything in a bowl. Let your child pick their favorite muffins to cook. After the muffins were done and cooled my son had to sing the muffin man song to his dad and sister, then he got to past out his muffins.

Who took the cookies from the cookie jar:
Read the book to your child, have some fun with it. After you read the book have your child play the song with an instrument and sing a long with your child. For this book we baked cookies. He had to count how many cookies that were in the jar. I helped him write the number down on a piece of paper. The next day he had to count all the cookies to see if any was missing and sing who took the cookies from the cookie jar. A great way to get your little one to count.
I hope you enjoy these little activities with your children. Have a great week.
Blessings,
April
