The holiday of love, Valentine's day is just right around the corner. Who does not love Valentine's day? It is such a fun holiday with kids. I love to make my kids heart shaped pancakes that morning. You can get the bottles above at dollar tree. Put the pancake mix in there. It makes making heart shaped pancakes so much easier. Valentine's day is a great day to remind your children that God loves them, to love one another, to be kind and of course remind them that you love them to.

I love using bible verses with homeschooling. Showing my kids that God loves them is very important to me. My favorite verses to use near Valentine's day are John 3:16, 1 John 4:19,

Science experiments are so much fun. Add a little pink, glitter and some hearts, watch their faces light up in wow. My kids love doing messy things and experiments. Who loves those little candy hearts with words on them? Not me, they are gross. I found a good use for them, a science experiments. Put those candies in soda, water, juice, soap and let your kids watch what it does. You can have them write a guess what they think it might do and what it does down. Since my four year is not good at writing stuff down yet, I decided we will just talk about what they think it will happen and what happen.

Use a toilet paper roll and fold it to make a heart shape. Let your child dip it in paint and press it on paper. For older children they can do the same or draw hearts, then write down in the hearts things they love and people they love.

This is a fun and cute little craft to do. Heart with bouncing arms and legs. You will need red and white paper, glue, marker, little eyes and safety scissors. Have your child draw hearts then cut them out, cut strips with the white sheet of paper, have your child folder the strips. Glue it together and you got yourself a bouncing new little friend.

I hope you enjoy these activities with your kids and have a wonderful Valentine's Day.

Blessings,

April
